Skokholm Archives

Those people who were at the annual Reunion meeting in Bishops Cleeve will already know a little about the Skokholm Archive project.
We have now started the long task of copying thousands of slides and photographs and publishing many on the Peoples Collection Wales website (see http://www.friendsofskokholmandskomer.org/) and aim to create a really interesting and informative library collection over the next year or so.
Some very early 1920's pictures have already been loaded onto the site as have some more recent ones.  The chatty logs on the island will also all go to the National Library of Wales archives in due course as will all of Ronald Lockleys diaries. Missing are many photographs from the 1950's to the 1970's so if anyone has any for these years we would welcome them with open arms for the archives.
We will try and update the People's Collection on a very regular basis and it will be interesting to see how many people look at the images in due course.
Just as a taster here is one of the older pictures:- 1927.
